🌟 Trail
The Purple Heart Trail hike is a lot like life. There are highs and lows that make you want to give up but you dig in and keep pushing. It’s a 2-mile loop with a 436 ft. elevation gain. If you’re an experienced hiker this will feel moderate. If you’re new or just starting back up this will feel challenging. We’ll keep a modest group pace and slow down if needed. Depending on speed this should take us an hour or so to finish. We’ll start the group hike as soon as the last reading is finished. You are welcome to start sooner if you’d like.
🌟 Prepare
This trail is forest floor. Hiking shoes or shoes with good grip that can get dirty will work. Sunscreen and bug spray in the warmer months is helpful. Remember to bring plenty of water. You might get tired of holding a water bottle so having a small backpack is handy. Dress for the weather. We’ll hike in all seasons unless conditions are unsafe or unbearable.
🌟 Specifics
– This event is free and limited to 10 people.
– RSVPs are required and will close at 3 pm the day of. Set a reminder on your calendar so you don’t miss sign-ups.
– Cancel your RSVP ASAP if you can’t make it. That way someone else can sign-up.
– If no one has RSVP’d the hike could start early, late, or be canceled without notice.
